This customer in Nashville, TN, called Frontier for their basement waterproofing needs. To waterproof their basement, we installed three particular drainage products. We used DryTrak in some areas, a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system in others, and a Trench drain around the doors. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to pump water through the drainage lines. We completed the project by installing IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines, as well as a LawnScape system. Now their basement is dry and clean.

WaterGuard Installation Process

Our most popular drainage system, WaterGuard® is the ideal solution for most basement waterproofing applications. Unlike old-fashioned drain tile systems installed on the outside of the home, WaterGuard® is installed just underneath the perimeter edge of the basement floor.

DryTrak Installation

As a baseboard drainage system, DryTrak® installs above the floor and along the inside perimeter of the basement. If you have a monolithic foundation, meaning that your floor and footing were poured as one piece, this is the only drainage system that's appropriate. DryTrak® is also perfect for other applications when jackhammering the floor is not an option-- in basements with radiant heat, for example.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

After everything is in place, a thin layer of cement is applied over the waterGuard to secure everything in place.

All waterproofing products have been installed, and this project is now complete. This homeowner can now enjoy a dry basement.

Installation Process of LawnScape and WaterGuard

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
