Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Nashville, TN

This customer in Nashville, TN, called Frontier when he noticed his doors sticking and catching on the floor. During his inspection, we could see that the crawl space was sagging due to moisture issues. To solve these problems, we stabilized the crawl space with our SmartJack support system. To address the moisture issues, we encapsulated the crawl space with SilverGlo vent covers, Drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, installed a StarPipe drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. To complete the project, we installed our IceGuard and LawnScape drainage lines and a new crawl space door.

Crawl Space During Inspection

There are obvious water intrusion issues in the pictured crawl space. The entire floor is muddy. The crawl space supports are even starting to bend at their weak point.

Project Starting

We drained all the water out of this crawl space to start, and installed Drainage matting on the floors. This dimpled plastic sheet material promotes good drainage over the entire crawl space floor.

IceGuard and LawnScape System Install

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
