Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Nashville, TN

This customer in Nashville, TN, called Frontier due to moisture issues in their crawl space. To mitigate the moisture issues, we completed a complete crawl space encapsulation. This began with cleaning out all the debris, adding our StarPipe crawl space drainage system, sealing the vents with SilverGlo panels, installing drainage matting, a CleanSpace liner, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and we finished this project by installing an IceGuard and LawnScape drainage system.

StarPipe™

StarPipe™ is a custom-engineered drainage system for crawlspaces/basements. StarPipe's™ custom design has slots on each side, providing a drainage track on the bottom. StarPipe's™ unique star shape holds the fabric sleeve in place to prevent dirt from entering drainage slots.

TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System

Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.

SaniDry Sedona

The Sedona easily fits in small crawl spaces, yet has a powerful blower to effectively dry large crawl spaces. Mold and mildew are common in crawl spaces, but the Sedona keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. As a high-efficiency dehumidifier, the Sedona removes more moisture (100 pints per day) for less electricity cost than conventional models.

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

One key ingredient in our encapsulation system is the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable 20-mil plastic sheet designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space.

Piers Wrapped

Piers are wrapped in CleanSpace® poly to create a continuous air and moisture barrier.

Interior Waterproofing Complete

All the waterproofing products have been installed, and this crawl space is now encapsulated.

IceGuard and LawnScape

Water escapes from the IceGuard® fitting only when the discharge line becomes clogged. Otherwise, water flows past the slotted openings into the drain pipe. LawnScape™ is a pipe buried from the downspout to a special LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning. LawnScape™ is best used for downspout extensions over 8' long.
