Existing Crawl Space Door
The wooden crawl space door on the home did not create a seal, allowing moisture and humidity to enter through the entrance.
Falling Insulation
Insulation absorbs moisture in the air, becomes heavy, and falls to the floor of the crawl space.
Relative Humidity and Mold
High humidity levels elevated the moisture content of the floor joists and created an environment for mold to thrive.
Drainage Matting Installation
Drainage matting is installed underneath the CleanSpace liner to allow lateral movement of groundwater.
Crawl Space Door Preparation
Before the EverLast Door was installed, a new frame was built to ensure a proper fit and long-term performance. Extra insulation was also added to help maintain a more stable environment inside the space.
CleanSpace Liner
CleanSpace liner is installed along the crawl space floor and walls to separate the area from the earth below and around it, helping bring the crawl space into the home's conditioned envelope.
EverLast Door
The new EverLast Door creates a tight seal at the crawl space entrance to help keep out humidity and moisture.
Downspout Extension
Water creates pressure on the foundation that can cause damage over time. This downspout was extended to ensure water flows away from the home.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is installed in the space to ensure humidity levels stay underneath 60%, the threshold where mold grows.
Electrical Work
Frontier employs licensed electricians who ensure new appliances, like the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, have consistent power.
