An inspection revealed mold in the crawl space of this Lebanon home. The family was concerned what effects mold has on the structure of the home as well as their health.
The mold was eating on the wood of the floor joist causing wood rot and softening the joist, creating sagging in the floor.
The air quality of our home is only about 50% better than the air quality of the crawl space. So the family was also breathing in the mold living in the crawl space below.
Our patented CleanSpace system transforms damp, moldy, unsanitary crawl spaces into healthy environments. By encapsulating your crawl space you eliminate the moisture that causes your floor joists to rot and mold to form protecting the heath of your family and home.
The type of door that shields your basement or crawlspace from the outside environment is very important. After this home's crawlspace was encapsulated, installing the EverLast Door was the "cherry on top". The EverLast door is 1/2' thick and will NEVER rot or need painting. It also seals off outside air, keeping the crawlspace dry!
The EverLast door is a much better choice than the wood door the family had before, because the old door did not protect the home from outside drafts, nor critters who can crawl through the cracks.
Within 10 years of buying their brand new home, the homeowners had noticed an increase in humidity. high humidity in your basement or crawl space can lead to mold, which can lead to breathing in unhealthy air since 50% of the air we breathe upstairs comes from downstairs.
The family needed a solution to fix not only the high humidity issue in their home, but they also wanted to take back their storage area and have a safe place to keep their beloved dogs.
Luckily, our durable CleanSpace lining provides both protection from moisture AND from sharp rocks that we don't want our pets to step on!
This Nashville family had been living in their home for 10 years and had plans of selling in the future. They noticed rain water pooling in certain areas of their crawl space and knew they had to encapsulate their space to increase their home's market value.
Our team cleaned up their crawl space and got to work on installing our waterproofing system!
A Few of our Main Products:
CleanSpace Drainage Matting: great channel for flowing water to make its way to the pump
CleanSpace Liner: tough moisture barrier that goes on walls and the floor to ensure the moisture in the ground stays on the ground
TripleSafe Pump: reliable sump pump that will pump rainwater out of your crawl space (with an airtight lid!)
SaniDry Sedona: powerful dehumidifier that will make moldy walls and wood a thing of the past
Everlast Door: sturdy crawl space door that will never rust or warp
They now have a clean and healthy crawl space!
This Nashville family had owned their home for 16 years and just started noticing mold within the past month.
Their main concern was the mold growing on their piers, which is detrimental to their home's foundation. They also had noticed some musty odors that they wanted to eliminate.
The musty odor is coming from the mold, which is due to high humidity in the crawl space.
Our go-to solution for these issues is installing the CleanSpace Liner and Drainage Matting.
The CleanSpace Liner Benefits are:
It reduces moisture and humidity
Helps seal out cold winter drafts (which will reduce heating costs!)
Extremely durable (20mil thick, 7 layer polyethylene composition)
And the Drainage Matting will give rainwater a channel to flow from under the liner and into the crawl space drain or sump pump system.
The family now has an encapsulated crawl space that will ensure no more mold will grow, nor will bring its stinky odor with it!
While this family has no need to access their crawlspace, they were experiencing soft spots in the floor and had previously repaired the sub-floor. Knowing that there was leaks and a damp, musty odor upstairs, the culprit was high moisture content within the area and affecting the wooden structure of the floor which needed immediate attention!
The CleanSpace liner used for crawl space encapsulation is a very tough, 20 mil vapor barrier, with both a mold inhibitor woven in and polyester cord reinforcement. The result is a space where water will not be able to penetratre in any way, lowering the relative humidity and protecting the structural integrity of the home.
This owner of this new construction home built in April had an exterminating company under the home who noticed excess water in the crawl space. The home owner did not waste any time protecting his brand new Forever Home. He chose to encapsulate to protect from mold, mildew, and future wood rot.
Even though roofs, kitchens and bathrooms are the first thing potential home buyers look at while house-hunting, don't forget to check out what surprises may be lurking within the depths of the crawl space!
This Franklin family are looking to sell their home and they enlisted the expert help from Frontier Basement Systems to ensure that they weren't risking losing $$ dollars on the house sale.
The main source of water intrusion into this home was through the back of the property, the solution in conjunction with a water management system within the crawlspace was to install a length of trench drain to re direct the water around the sides of the house.
With minimal disruption and completely walk-able on, this drain will make a huge improvement.
This Clarksville family had lived in their home for 30 years and decided their crawl space needed a makeover! They were worried about the moisture in the air that was causing their wood beams to rot and bend. They were also concerned about the air they were breathing.
The air that is floating around a dirty and musty crawl space floats up to the living quarters and becomes the air we breathe every day.
They called us to solve their problems and we did exactly that!
The first step was taking out moldy insulation and cleaning out the debris.
We installed our CleanSpace Liner, CleanSpace Drainage Matting, Everlast Door, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to help moisture stay out of the air, which will, in turn, make sure mold doesn't grow.
We installed a Supplemental Beam to help the Smart Jack lift and support the floor joists, so there would be no uneven floors above.
The homeowners had only lived in their house a few months before noticing that whenever it rained their basement started flooding.
We made sure to fix their problem before the rainy season came and really caused structural damage in the home.
We cleaned up the debris and installed the SmartDrain and Drainage Matting, which leads water exactly where it needs to go- the drain. The Drainage Matting is also an extra layer to protect against tears in our lining.
We encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace liner to not only reduce moisture and humidity, but also help seal out cold winter drafts.
Now the family has a healthy crawl space prepared for any kind of weather!
A new door for this crawl space adds security and seals off the space properly.
The new non organic material will not rust or rot.
The homeowner can feel good knowing the clean space below is safe from the outside elements and critters.
The customer Everlast crawl space door is the perfect way to finish this project.
This Spring Hill home had the code required plastic laid on the crawl space floor but nothing more.
Since the family had move din over 3 years ago there has been water under the plastic. They do not go in the crawlspace often but do know that it leaks and want a permanent solution. This homeowner does not want any problems with mold, mildew, soft spots in the floor, or unlevel floors.
