Julie H. had issues with bouncy floors and cracked interior walls upstairs in her living area. Whenever it rained, she said there would be pools of water in her crawl space and she believed that was the problem. Julie was ready to have her home back to normal and no musty odors wrafting about.
She had heard about Frontier Basement Systems, so decided to give us a call. Our inspector came out and found the root of her problem. Yes, Julie was right.. the pools of water were the culprits! There were multiple pools in her crawl space and this lead to an excessive amount of moisture in the air. This made the pink insulation moist, which made it grow mold. The biggest problem with moist insulation.. is where the insulation is normally placed by--- wood. Moist wood = mold. Moldy wood caused her bouncy floors and cracked interior walls.
