We turned a nasty wet crawl space into an insulated, dry Clean Space in Guthrie, KY!
The crawl space was holding water and creating mold problems for these home owners. Vented crawl spaces are not healthy or safe for homes but because that is how code is written, that is how houses are built to save money.
We started by getting rid of the old, thin black liner that was in the crawl space that wasn't protecting the home from moisture or mold from growing. We installed our Drainage Matting which has raised dimples for moisture and water to flow freely UNDER the CleanSpace liner to the sump pump which will pump the water out and away from the home. Then we installed the CleanSpace liner which is a thick, white, durable liner that does not easily rip or fall off walls. It is made from a non-organic plastic so mold cannot grow on it. Then, we added a new crawl space door that will not rot, rust, or fall apart over time, all the while having an air-tight seal so no moisture, humidity, or unwanted pests or bugs can enter.

Water intrusion following heavy rains was causing mold, and with nothing to prevent more water coming in through the front and corners it was going to continue to be a problem if not fixed.
The permanent solution was to install a Triple Safe Sump Pump system with water draining from a line of WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement alongside a trench drain across the garage door opening. Working together to prevent and remove water from the garage and keep the structure away from excessive moisture.

This home in Guthrie Kentucky was having some problems with their chimney and cracking. Concerned it would eventually fall over they reached out to Frontier Basement Systems for a solution. Frontier sent a design specialist out to their home to address their concerns and together it was decided that Smart Jacks were the right solution for this problem. If you see cracks in the foundation of your home that look similar to this, chances are you need to give us a call. cracks like these are normally due to extreme foundation settlement. The best part though, is that most of the time they can be fixed with push piers. Push piers are installed underneath the foundation and provide support and stability to the home.
A crack in concrete like this is normally from dirt shrinking and drying out. This creates empty spaces underneath the concrete which causes the concrete to break under pressure. We are able to go in and use PolyLevel injections to lift and level the concrete.
Gaps in concrete like this can often cause people to trip. We can fix this by drilling holes through the concrete and injecting PolyLevel which expands underneath the concrete and lifts the concrete back to its original position. The best part? No more tripping hazards!
